The Alcon Academy is a state of the art training facility that offers a safe and encouraging educational environment for eye care professionals, and their teams, from both optometry and ophthalmology to develop new skills to further enhance their patients’ experience.

The facility forms part of a long heritage of training partnership with ophthalmologists and their theatre teams, having been originally established in the Alcon offices in Hemel Hempstead.  When the offices moved to Camberley, it gave the opportunity to create a new and updated facility featuring purpose built lecture theatres, a seminar room and a dedicated space more suited to training optometric skills and colleagues.

The Alcon Academy is equipped with the latest technology, and offers more space than the average consulting room and operating theatre.  This allows enhanced opportunities for interactive and experiential based learning.  We encourage peer to peer learning and coaching, and endeavour to ensure an educationally productive ratio of delegates to equipment and facilitators.

In early 2019, we undertook a further refresh of our facilities to enhance your experience whilst with us, and the response from those of you who have already visited has been phenomenal.  At the same time we have also been working hard to create new educational and training programmes for you to consider attending.

The Alcon Experience Academy is the guarantee with which we deliver professional education and development.  It is our promise that the high quality of our materials will be constant across the different mediums through which we share insight and learning.  We are proud to be able to offer education via articles, newsletters, online, at our Academy, at conference and through training delivered to you and your teams within your own practice.  

Our courses and programmes are often created by, or in partnership with, experts in that area of focus/understanding.  This is done to ensure that you receive the most contemporary and relevant training in that area.  We also commit to undertake regular reviews of our materials and content to maintain the high standards we set for ourselves, and you expect of us.
